Son Bo-mi is a South Korean fiction writer whose work explores memory, desire, and the quiet impact of history on private lives.
She is the author of several short story collections and novels,
including Dreams of Love, Elegant Nights and Cats, Bringing Them the Lindy Hop, The Small Town, and Safe City.
Her work has received major Korean literary awards,
including the Yi Sang Literary Award, the Young Writers’ Award,
the Hankook Ilbo Literary Award, and the Lee Hyo-seok Literary Award.
Her short story “The Cat Thief,” translated by Janet Hong, was featured in Freeman’s and Literary Hub.
Selected stories have appeared in English translation, and her collection Bringing Them the Lindy Hop is currently being translated into English as Swell.
